Recreate the iconic Tamara Ralph makeup with me!

Hey everyone, welcome back to My Blog!

This week I’m taking you back to an iconic moment for MYKITCO … the Tamara Ralph haute couture show at Paris fashion week. From a smoky liner to a flushed cheek, this makeup was lived in and fresh all at the same time! I absolutely love a smoked out wing, and if you’ve been tuning into my lives on the MYKITCO TikTok you’ll know it’s one of my favourite beauty looks. So it seemed right I recreated the makeup! Lets get into it…
The Tamara Ralph Show was very kindly sponsored by Code 8 beauty which is a MYKITCO favourite! All the products I used were used by the team backstage.
Starting off with base, I reached for the Code 8 Radiate Beauty Balm. This product sits at the intersection between tinted moisturiser and foundation, whilst it’s enriched with Argan seed oil it also has a super buildable, velvety-smooth finish. When working backstage, on multiple skin types, it is essential to have a product that works for everyone. I also find myself reaching for this for personal use as it has a lightweight finish and keeps my skin looking like skin!
I paired the Beauty Balm with the 0.14 MY SMOOTHING FOUNDATION. I find the paddle shape of the brush allows me to smooth out product whilst the feathery fibres at the tip are perfect for blending and diffusing product into the skin. Pairing these together gives a super even finish, perfect for runway or real life!
Moving into bronzing, the perfect brush for sculpting those runway cheekbones is the 0.17 PRO - MY CHISELLED CHEEK! I find the angled brush tip fits directly into the contours of my face allowing me to carve out my cheekbones seamlessly and the denser fibres provide the control needed when contouring. I usually pair this brush with a cream bronzer, however, it works just as well with a powder. For this look I used the Code 8 Bronze Summer Glow, this product enhances your natural glow and accentuates your features which is perfect for that summer bronze makeup I love!
Blush is back and better than ever! With all the blush love going on at the minute, incorporating a flushed cheek into this look made it relatable and youthful. I personally love using the 0.22 MY FLAWLESS FACE MEDIUM for a cream blush as the super soft fibres allow for a flawless blend. I also love this brush for foundation and cream bronzer as the tapered brush head fits into the smaller contours of the face. For this look, I used the Code 8 5SECS EXPRESS LIP AND CHEEK TINT as this product is infused with shea butter it gives the creamiest, flushed finish which adds to your overall natural glow. To build up the coverage I used the 0.22 MY FLAWLESS FACE MEDIUM in a bouncing motion, similarly to how you would use a beauty blender, which gave a super blushed final look.
To enhance the rosy cheek, I went in with the Code 8 Blush Palette which houses three shades of brush to give a super tonal finish. When it comes to any powder product, I always reach for the 0.24 PRO - MY BLUSH & POLISHER. The brush has ultra flexible fibres which makes controlling powder products a dream, I used it for blush, powder and even highlighting!
Now for the main event… the eyes! When I was watching James create this makeup look I was mesmerised by the liner look. I’m a big fan of a smoky wing, but paired with a youthful flushed base really just transforms the look from grunge to cool girl. I started off by lining the eyes with the Code 8 Precision Liquid Liner to give the deep black feline flick we saw at the Tamara Ralph show. For the waterline I opted for the Code 8 Contour Eye Pencil to enhance the eye.
To transform the eye into a statement look, I buffed in the black shade from the ICONOCLAST EYESHADOW PALETTE to diffuse the liner and elongate the eye. My ultimate blending brush is the 1.30 - MY 'ON POINT' BLENDER™ - Small, the dense fibres of this brush allow for control when blending whilst the tapered tip allows for perfect precision. When doing a controlled blend like this, I like to pull the eye taut for an easier application!
To pull this look together I used the GLAZÉ UNIVERSAL LIP GLOSS with the 3.1 - MY LINE & FILL. I find the 3.1 works well when applying gloss as the flat side lines the lips whilst the curved side fits perfectly into the cupids bow allowing for the perfect pout! This brush really makes applying a lip super easy, it’s an essential for both makeup artists and makeup lovers!
Here's this finished look!
I hope you guys loved it as much as me! See you next time,
