I’m Mya, an aspiring makeup artist born and raised in Manchester, and I dream big! I picture my ultimate career in New York—a city I imagine in neon-tinted visions of backstage beauty, A-list faces, and magazine covers. Vogue here I come!
But right now? I’m building my career right here in my hometown, juggling wedding gigs, freelance shoots, and my beauty store job while my tiny Yorkie, Billie, watches with a side-eye that says, "You’ve got this."
My creative circle keeps me sane (and slightly chaotic): Kira, my best friend and assistant stylist, who always knows how to calm a meltdown with iced coffee pep talks(from The Feel Good Club obviously!); and Mikey, my oldest mate turned Northern Quarter barista-slash-content creator, whose viral ideas usually lead to hilariously unhinged adventures. Together, we’re navigating Manchester’s creative grind, blending ambition with just the right amount of delusion.
My favourite beauty tools? MYKITCO brushes, which I swear are the real MVPs of my makeup kit. My ultimate goal? To conquer NYC’s editorial scene. For now, though, my journey is a blend of glitter explosions, dream gigs, and plenty of laughs—all captured here.
